Ontario Asset - Detailed Information
Water Resources Act Permit:
10-year renewal permit issued under Ontario (Canada) Water Resources Act
Natural Spring Sources:
6 artesian springs with natural surface flow at the orifice
Zoning Approval:
Rezoning By-law approved on December 6, 2021, changing designation from Rural Zone to Industrial Rural Zone for facility, land, and springs
Water Collection Infrastructure:
Water is collected through 6 well tile structures that intercept the natural spring flow without requiring pumps. This preserves the springs' natural flow rates and ensures sustainable extraction.
Distribution System:
Water is piped directly from the springs to the bottling facility. A bypass system routes water to a storage tank with truck filling station for bulk water sales.
Sustainable Operations:
No pumps are used in the extraction process, ensuring the springs are not taxed beyond their natural flow rates. This sustainable approach maintains the long-term viability of the water resource.
Ownership Amendment:
Amendment submitted in February 2022 to Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for approval of ownership change to Unique Water Inc.
